Vancouver Canucks forward Ilya Mikheyev is dealing with an injury that will keep him out of Game 5 against the Edmonton Oilers, Sportsnet’s Dan Murphy reported on Thursday.
Murphy was told that Mikheyev was “banged up” and is considered day-to-day for the Canucks. The nature of the injury was not disclosed.
Mikheyev has struggled for the Canucks this post-season, despite playing mostly on Elias Pettersson’s wing, with zero points in 10 games and a minus-four rating.
Mikheyev, 29, scored 11 goals and 31 points in 78 games this season. He was acquired as a free agent by the Canucks in 2022 after playing parts of three seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
