The Dallas Stars have some momentum as they head to Alberta.

The Stars tied the Western Conference Final at 1-1 with a 3-1 win over the visiting Edmonton Oilers on Saturday.

Stars forward Mason Marchment tipped a Ryan Suter point shot past Stuart Skinner early in the third period to break a 1-1 tie.

Esa Lindell put the Stars up 3-1 with an empty-net goal with 2:03 left.

Marchment played for Oilers coach Kris Knoblauch and was a teammate of Edmonton star Connor McDavid in 2014-15 with the OHL’s Erie Otters.

Dallas lost the first game at home in each of its previous two series, but rallied to beat the Vegas Golden Knights and Colorado Avalanche.

Stars captain Jamie Benn opened the scoring 3:39 into the game on his team’s first shot of the evening, but Connor Brown tied it for Edmonton just 44 seconds later.

Game 3 at Rogers Place is Monday at 8:30 p.m. ET / 6:30 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.
