Robertson’s hat trick leads Stars to second straight win over Oilers

After 10 games without a goal, Dallas Stars forward Jason Robertson ended his drought in a huge way on Monday.

Robertson had a hat trick as the visiting Stars beat the Edmonton Oilers 5-3 at Rogers Place to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven Western Conference Final.

Dallas has won the past two games after dropping the series opener at home.

Robertson broke a 3-3 tie to complete the hat trick midway through the third period. The former Kingston Frontenacs star jammed it in short-side on Oilers goalie Stuart Skinner.

Miro Heiskanen added an empty-netter to seal it.

Trailing 2-0 after the first, the Stars rallied with three straight goals in a second period in which they registered the first 14 shots.
