Hockey fans say there is no sporting atmosphere quite like that of an NHL game. Fans get rowdy, and arenas get loud. Of course, there are no hockey games more intense than that of the games played in the Stanley Cup Finals, and that series is finally here. In 2024, the Edmonton Oilers will be taking on the Florida Panthers, and while some fans will want to watch from the comfort of their homes, other fans will want to watch the games in person. Buying Stanley Cup Finals tickets won’t be cheap, but we will go over ticket prices in this article so you don’t have to.

When and where is the Stanley Cup?

The home-ice advantage belongs to the Panthers, so the team will host Games 1, 2, 5, and 7 at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida. Games 3, 4, and 6 will be at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

How much do Stanley Cup Finals tickets cost?

Perry Nelson-USA TODAY Sports

Stanley Cup Finals tickets are highly coveted, so they are a lot more expensive than regular season tickets or tickets of any of the previous series. However, they are not nearly as bad as tickets to the NBA Finals. Game 1 between the Oilers and Panthers will be in Florida, and you can get in for only $428. Most tickets are in the $500-600 range, and you can spend over $4,000 for the nicest seats. Tickets for Game 2 are similarly priced, although you can get seats for as cheap as $407.

The series will head to Edmonton for Games 3 and 4, and the prices do increase for the games in Canada. Cheap tickets for Game 3 are about $600, while the average price is closer to $750. The most expensive seats are actually a little cheaper than the games in Florida, though, as the highest-listed tickets are $3,591. There is an additional bump in prices for Game 4, as that is the first game where the series could potentially be closed out. In that game, the cheapest tickets are $808, whereas the most expensive tickets are pushing $4,000.

The series goes back down to the states for Game 5, and the ticket prices go down as well. It will only be $491 to get into Game 5. There are more high-end seats, though, as you can pay up to $9,191 to have top-of-the-line seats. Game 6 sees the biggest increase in price, as there aren’t any seats for less than $1,000. The average price of tickets is even more than $2,000 in this game.

The series may never reach Game 7, but the seats are reasonably listed for what would be the last game of the series if the Stanley Cup Finals goes the distance. The cheapest tickets are $772, while the average tickets remain about the same at around $2,000. The most expensive tickets are outrageous, though, as you can spend up to $18,382 to watch the game.

All ticket prices were found on Vividseats, but you can find similarly priced tickets on Ticketmaster or Seatgeek.

2024 Stanley Cup Finals

The Stanley Cup Trophy has a long history. The trophy has been used in one form or another since 1892. Teams were able to challenge for the trophy starting in 1906, and it has been used as the championship trophy in the NHL since the league was established in 1926.

The Oilers have been one of the most winningest teams in the Stanley Cup Finals, as they have five championship wins. The Panthers, on the other hand, are still looking for their first Stanley Cup Finals victory. There has never been a Stanley Cup Finals with a further distance between the two opponents, as Florida and Edmonton’s stadiums are 2,541 miles apart.

The distance is just one small storyline in a championship series full of them, though. Connor McDavid, arguably the best player in the league, leads an Oilers team with arguably the best offense in the NHL, while the Panthers boast arguably the best defensive unit in the league and are coming off of a Stanley Cup Finals loss last season. The series could truly go either way, and the games will surely be crazy. That will be even more so the case if you are able to attend a game in person. So, who do you think will become the champions?
