After taking a run at the Stanley Cup with the Edmonton Oilers, Adam Henrique has decided to run it back.

The forward agreed to a two-year, $6 million contract with the team on Monday.

Henrique, 34, was acquired at the trade deadline by the Oilers from the Anaheim Ducks, along with Sam Carrick, and suited up for 22 regular-season games for the Oilers. During that time, he scored six goals and nine points and had a plus-six rating. Henrique added another four goals and seven points in 17 playoff games.

Selected 82nd overall by the New Jersey Devils in the 2008 draft, Henrique spent eight seasons with the club. He was traded to the Ducks in 2017 and subsequently played nearly seven seasons in California.
