Mike Hoffman will get a chance to continue his NHL career with the Edmonton Oilers.
The winger will attend training camp on a professional tryout offer, the Oilers announced Wednesday.
The 34-year-old native of Kitchener, Ont., had 10 goals and 13 assists in 66 games with the San Jose Sharks last season.
Hoffman has 228 goals and 259 assists for 487 points in 745 career games with the Ottawa Senators, Florida Panthers, St. Louis Blues, Montreal Canadiens and Sharks.
