Kings' Kaliyev out indefinitely with fractured clavicle

Los Angeles Kings winger Arthur Kaliyev is out indefinitely with a fractured clavicle, head coach Jim Hiller announced Sunday, according to team beat reporter Zach Dooley.

Kaliyev got hurt on Day 2 of training camp.

The 23-year-old officially put pen to paper on a one-year, $825,000 contract on Wednesday. He was a restricted free agent at the time.

Kaliyev appeared in 51 games for the Kings this past season, amassing seven goals and 15 points while averaging just under 12 minutes of ice time per contest.

He was a frequent healthy scratch and missed the entirety of Los Angeles' first-round loss to the Edmonton Oilers in the playoffs.

Kaliyev said Thursday that he views the 2024-25 season as a "fresh start," per Hockey Royalty's Russell Morgan.

The Kings selected Kaliyev in the second round of the 2019 draft. He's totaled 35 goals and 71 points in 188 career NHL contests.
