The Edmonton Oilers will add an important piece to their offence as they return home from a road trip.
Zach Hyman confirmed he will be back in the lineup Thursday night when the Oilers host the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Hyman was injured on Nov. 19 in a win over the Ottawa Senators, missing five games. The nature of his injury was never disclosed but he did travel with the team during a recent three-game trip.
“It’s a great day,” Hyman said after Thursday’s morning skate. “It’s what all of us love to do, is to play, it’s no fun when you’re on the sidelines watching, especially when you’re a little banged-up, so good to be back.”
Hyman has three goals and eight points in 20 games this season.
