The Edmonton Oilers are bringing up some blue line depth from the farm.
The team announced that they have recalled defenceman Josh Brown from the AHL’s Bakersfield Condors on Friday.
The move comes after No. 1 defenceman Evan Bouchard was injured on Thursday evening and depth defenceman and Travis Dermott was claimed by the Minnesota Wild off waivers Thursday.
Brown, 30, has played three games for Edmonton this season tallying seven penalty minutes. The right-handed blueliner has three assists and 50 penalty minutes in 16 games with Bakersfield.
A seven-year NHL veteran, Brown has 11 goals and 23 assists in 293 games with the Florida Panthers, Ottawa Senators, Boston Bruins, Arizona Coyotes, and Oilers.
Edmonton also claimed defenceman Alec Regula from the Boston Bruins on Wednesday.
