The Edmonton Oilers will be without Zach Hyman when they face the New York Rangers on Sunday.
Hyman did not take warmups with the Oilers after head coach Kris Knoblauch announced at morning skate that he was a game-time decision. He was ultimately held out of the lineup.
As a result, Edmonton slotted Max Jones into the fourth line.
Hyman had been a full participant at Sunday’s morning skate, according to The Athletic’s Daniel Nugent-Bowman.
The 32-year-old winger played just 10:36 against the New York Islanders on Friday, logging only two shifts in the third period.
In 61 games this season, he has 37 points (22 goals and 15 assists).
