Calvin Pickard replaced Skinner, who allowed four goals on 21 shots.

Skinner exited his previous start on March 20 against the Winnipeg Jets after the concussion spotter pulled him late in the third period.

The 26-year-old entered Thursday's contest with a .895 save percentage and a 2.87 goals-against average in 48 games.

The Oilers are already without star forwards Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl due to injuries.
