Fleury replaces ill Gustavsson in Game 5 vs. Golden Knights

The Minnesota Wild's Marc-Andre Fleury replaced Filip Gustavsson between the pipes for the third period of Game 5 against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Gustavsson exited the contest with an illness. He made 23 saves on 25 shots.

Fleury is retiring after the season. The 40-year-old ranks second in NHL history in wins and is a three-time Stanley Cup champion with the Pittsburgh Penguins. It's his first postseason action since the 2023 first round versus the Dallas Stars.

The future Hall of Famer is tied with Edmonton Oilers great Grant Fuhr for third in career playoff wins with 92. His last postseason win came in the 2022 first round against the St. Louis Blues.

Fleury won his only Vezina Trophy while playing for the Golden Knights. He spent four seasons in Vegas and backstopped the team to the Stanley Cup Final in its first campaign.

The series is tied 2-2.
