The Vegas Golden Knights are through to the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs with a 3-2 win over the Minnesota Wild in Thursday's Game 6.
Golden Knights captain Mark Stone and Wild forward Ryan Hartman traded late goals as Vegas narrowly advanced.
Either the Edmonton Oilers or the Los Angeles Kings await the Golden Knights in Round 2.
Jack Eichel tallied his first goal of the postseason in the second period. Adin Hill made 29 saves on 31 shots in the win.
Future Hall of Famer Marc-Andre Fleury's career comes to a close with the Wild's loss. The 40-year-old ranks second in all-time wins, and he's a three-time Stanley Cup champion with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He won his only Vezina Trophy while playing with the Golden Knights.
The Wild haven't advanced past the first round since 2015 and have lost eight series in that span.
