Golden Knights’ Mark Stone to miss Game 5 vs. Oilers

The Vegas Golden Knights will be without their captain as they attempt to fend off elimination on Wednesday night.

Mark Stone will not suit up for Game 5 against the Edmonton Oilers after he missed the morning skate and head coach Bruce Cassidy deemed him a game-time decision.

The Golden Knights are trailing the Oilers 3-1 in the second-round series.

The 33-year-old forward was forced to leave Game 3 with an undisclosed injury but returned for Game 4 and played 21:42.

Across 10 games this post-season, Stone has recorded four goals and four assists.

Based on the line rushes from warmups, he will be replaced in the lineup by Cole Schwindt.

Catch Game 5 between the Oilers and Golden Knights starting at 9:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. MT on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.
