The Edmonton Oilers took a 3-1 lead in their series against the Dallas Stars last night after a 4-1 win. Stars forward Roope Hintz, who missed Game 3 due to a foot injury, was back for Game 4. Now, Evan Bouchard is being called out for a cheap shot he took at Hintz…
It looks like the 2025 Stanley Cup Final could be a repeat of 2024, with both the Florida Panthers and the Edmonton Oilers up 3-1 in their respective conference finals. Last night, the Oilers beat the Stars 4-1, with goals from Leon Draisaitl, Corey Perry, Kasperi Kapanen, and Adam Henrique. The Stars fell short despite getting Roope Hintz back from the injury that kept him out of Game 3.
Now, many fans are calling out Oilers defenseman Evan Bouchard, claiming he took a cheap shot at Roope Hintz. During a play, Bouchard slashed Hintz on his injured foot — the same one that had sidelined him for Game 3. Hintz reacted by flinching and lifting his hurt foot. Dallas Stars fans are now calling for Bouchard to be suspended for the slash.
“How do you not go after Bouchard after that?” one person wrote on X.
“Should be a game [suspension] — intent to further injure,” another added.
“That’s a one-game suspension. Intent to injure,” a third person wrote.
Game 5 will be played on Thursday in Dallas. You can watch the incident below.
