Hyman likely done for playoffs after Game 4 injury

Edmonton Oilers forward Zach Hyman is expected to be out for the remainder of the Stanley Cup Playoffs and will undergo surgery for the injury he sustained Tuesday night in Game 4, head coach Kris Knoblauch announced, according to TSN's Ryan Rishaug.

Hyman left during the first period and was unable to return after a hit from Dallas Stars forward Mason Marchment.

Hyman has notched 11 points in 15 playoff games this spring, and he leads all players with 111 hits. He's typically deployed on the first line with Connor McDavid and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.

The Oilers overcame Hyman's absence and defeated the Stars 4-1 to move within one win of their second consecutive Stanley Cup Final appearance.

Game 5 is scheduled for Thursday night in Dallas.
