2024-25 Stanley Cup Final preview hub

For the first time since 2008 and 2009, the Stanley Cup Final has gifted us a rematch. The Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers begin their second consecutive championship series Wednesday, June 4 at Rogers Place in Edmonton.

Last season gave us an unforgettable series in which the Oilers rallied from a 3-0 deficit to force Game 7 before the Panthers closed it out at home for their first championship in franchise history. What will the result be this time? Both teams look deeper than last year’s and have mostly had their way with their competition this spring. The Oilers have gone 12-2 since dropping the first two games of the first round, while the Panthers sandwiched a seven-game second round with 4-1 drubbings in Rounds 1 and 3.
