Curtis Lazar is set to suit up for his fourth Canadian NHL team.
The Edmonton Oilers announced Wednesday they have signed the forward to a one-year contract worth $775,000.
Lazar, 30, appeared in 48 games with the New Jersey Devils last season, recording two goals and three assists. He missed a chunk of time due to a knee injury that required surgery.
Across 572 career NHL games with the Devils, Vancouver Canucks, Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres, Calgary Flames and Ottawa Senators, the Salmon Arm, B.C., native has collected 125 points (47 goals and 78 assists).
This will mark a return to Edmonton for Lazar, who played for the WHL’s Oil Kings during his junior career.
