The Oilers were on the wrong side of the Stanley Cup Final for the second year in a row and now arrive in training camp looking to build off another dissapointment.

Looming over everything the Oilers do is the contract status of captain Connor McDavid, who enters this season without an extension. Will McDavid and the Oilers come to terms? Or will the game’s brightest star hit the open market next summer? That situation will hang over everything else the Oilers do this season.

As the team reports for training camp, general manager Stan Bowman and a select group of players will speak to the media about their outlook for the season.
