Blues sign forward Nathan Walker to two-year contract extension

Nathan Walker is sticking around St. Louis.

The forward agreed to a two-year, $1.775 million contract extension with the Blues, the team announced on Wednesday.

Walker, the Wales native and Australian international, has spent the past six seasons in the Blues organization, bouncing at times between the NHL and AHL clubs.

He played a career-high 73 games with the Blues last season, matching personal bests in goals (eight) and assists (eight) for 16 points.

The 31-year-old also skated in all seven post-season games, scoring three goals.

In 229 career NHL games with the Washington Capitals, Edmonton Oilers and Blues, Walker has 28 goals and 28 assists.
