The Edmonton Oilers will have to settle for a .500 trip in New York.

Two days after beating the New York Rangers, the Oilers fell to 1-1 in the Big Apple after a 4-2 loss to the New York Islanders on Thursday.

Bo Horvat potted a hat trick and scored the winner with 4:46 remaining in the third period. The victory was the Islanders’ first win of the season.

Leon Draisaitl and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored for the Oilers, while Mathew Barzal netted the other Islanders goal.
