Romanov was down on the ice in pain as a scrum ensued around him before he was helped off the ice.

Islanders head coach Patrick Roy was visibly upset with the hit, directing some choice words toward the Stars' bench.

The Stars thought they tied the game with 0.1 seconds left in regulation, but the goal was called back for goaltender interference.

Rantanen has never been suspended in his 11-year NHL career.
