NHL Rumors: Canucks, Flames, Oilers, Blues, Blackhawks, Mammoth and Predators

It would be a surprise if the Calgary Flames don’t extend GM Craig Conroy, who is in the last year of his deal.

It may be time for the Edmonton Oilers to consider trading Stuart Skinner, even if it may only be a lateral move, which is something they said they didn’t want to do. He does have budget-friendly $2.6 million cap hit. Does someone think he can succeed elsewhere?

• NHL Rumour Report: Kypreos on Sportsnet: “The strongest speculation ties Jordan Binnington to Edmonton; the Oilers are also seeing if they can get a defenceman out of St. Louis at the same time. That potential deal would most likely be built around Stuart Skinner going back to St. Louis.”

Nick Kypreos suggested St. Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington to the Oilers. believe that the Oilers would need Binnington’s permission, if the Blues wanted to do it.

Goaltender Laurent Brossoit is practicing with the Chicago Blackhawks and will likely have a conditioning stint in the AHL. There isn’t room in Chicago for him.

The Utah Mammoth are looking to add, and have lots of picks and prospects.

Don’t buy the Filip Forsberg trade speculation at this time and hard to see them wanting to retain salary.
