The Winnipeg Jets are making a change to their crease after a beatdown by the Edmonton Oilers.
Backup Thomas Milic was sent to the AHL’s Manitoba Moose while fellow netminder Dom DiVincentiis was recalled on Monday, the team announced.
Milic, the 22-year-old from New Westminster, B.C., appeared in three games with the Jets, starting one. He allowed two goals on 11 shots after relieving starter Eric Comrie in the 6-2 loss against the Oilers and holds an .871 save percentage and 3.46 goals-against average for the season.
DiVincentiis, 21, would be making his NHL debut if he gets into a game.
In 13 AHL games this season, he holds a .915 save percentage and 2.49 GAA.
The Jets have struggled in the wake of an injury to reigning Hart and Vezina Trophy winner Connor Hellebuyck, losing three of their past four games and seven of nine.
They return to action Tuesday when they begin a four-game homestand against the Dallas Stars.
