Oilers activate Connor Clattenburg, send him to AHL Condors

Connor Clattenburg is back, just not with the Oilers.

Edmonton activated Clattenburg from long-term injured reserve (eye) and sent him to its AHL affiliate Bakersfield Condors, the team announced on Monday.

Clattenburg has not played since Dec. 4 against Seattle. The Ottawa native has played five games in his first NHL season, scoring one goal with no assists and 13 penalty minutes for the Oilers.

A fourth-round pick in 2024, Clattenburg spent last season with the OHL’s Flint Firebirds. The 20-year-old had one goal and one assist in 15 games with the Condors earlier this season, before making his Oilers debut on Nov. 22.

The Condors next play on Wednesday against the Coachella Valley Firebirds. Meanwhile, the Oilers visit the Winnipeg Jets on Monday night.
