Edmonton Oilers forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is questionable to play in Wednesday’s game against the Boston Bruins due to an illness, head coach Kris Knoblauch confirmed to reporters.

Nugent-Hopkins missed Wednesday’s morning practice with the illness.

Knoblauch also confirmed that Connor Brown will return to the lineup after being a healthy scratch in Monday’s win over the Arizona Coyotes.

After a career year last season that saw him collect 104 points, Nugent-Hopkins has 15 goals and 34 assists for 49 points in 52 games this season.

The 30-year-old forward was the first-overall selection by the Oilers in the 2011 NHL Draft and has played his entire 13-year career in Edmonton.

Brown, who joined the Oilers this off-season, has struggled to produce in his first season with Edmonton. In 44 games, he has just four assists and is still looking for his first goal.

You can watch the Oilers take on the Bruins live on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+, starting at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT.
