The Edmonton Oilers have signed goaltender Connor Ungar to a two-year, entry-level contract, announced by the team on Monday.

Ungar, 22, is coming off a rookie season with the Brock Badgers of the OUA where he appeared in 26 regular season games. He finished the campaign with a 20-6-0 record, 2.15 GAA and .932 save percentage, helping lead the school to their most wins ever and earning OUA West Rookie of the Year honours.

In the postseason, the Badgers played in six games and the Calgary native finished with a 3-3 record, 2.33 GAA, and .928 save percentage. Brock made an appearance in the 2024 University Cup with the help of Ungar but ultimately exited the tournament early as they faced the undefeated UNB Reds in the first round.

Before his OUA career, Ungar played 87 games in the WHL spanning over five seasons with three teams. His collective record during that time was 53-20-2 while he held a 2.57 GAA and .917 save percentage.

Ungar is set to report to Edmonton’s AHL affiliate in Bakersfield.
