It’s down to 32 in the competition for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy.
The Professional Hockey Writers Association named the team nominees on Friday.
This award, named after the only player in NHL history to die as a direct result of an on-ice injury, is handed out to the player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to the game.
Writers now will vote for the winner.
