Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane was not on the ice for practice on Saturday, prompting speculation about his health for the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Kane scored the fourth most goals for the Oilers this season, with 24. He was the team’s seventh leading scorer, with 44 points.

The native of Vancouver missed all three games the Oilers had this week with an undisclosed injury. His last game was a week ago in a 3-1 loss to the Canucks, where he logged almost 20 minutes of ice and scored a goal.

The Oilers’ first-round series against Los Angeles does not begin until Monday, when Edmonton hosts the Kings.
