Edmonton Oilers forwards Evander Kane and Mattias Janmark were on the ice for practice on Sunday, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman shared on X.
The news comes after the pair were missing on Saturday, raising questions about their health and availability for the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
On Saturday, head coach Kris Knoblauch said he expected both Kane and Janmark to practise Sunday. However, he didn’t confirm or rule out either player for Game 1 of the Oilers’ playoff series with the Los Angeles Kings.
Stanley Cup Playoffs Round 1: Oilers vs. KingsKane scored the fourth most goals for the Oilers this season, with 24. He was the team’s seventh leading scorer, with 44 points.
Janmark appeared in 71 games this season scoring four goals and 12 points.
Edmonton’s first-round series against Los Angeles begins on Monday at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.
