Maxim Beryozkin

Maxim Beryozkin is a big-bodied winger who brings a unique mix of size and skill to the Oilers' prospect pool. Standing at 6-foot-4 and over 215 pounds, Beryozkin uses his frame effectively to shield the puck and create space along the boards. He plays with noticeable poise and patience, often drawing defenders in before making a play, and has shown flashes of high-end vision, especially in offensive zone setups.

Offensively, Beryozkin possesses a heavy shot and isn’t afraid to fire it from difficult angles. While not a pure goal scorer, he contributes steadily by generating chances through puck control and playmaking. His passing ability, especially on the power play, can open up lanes and create scoring opportunities for teammates. Despite his size, he handles the puck well in tight areas, making him dangerous below the goal line and in net-front situations.

Skating has been an area of gradual improvement. While he may not be explosive, his stride has become more efficient over time, allowing him to keep pace with quicker competition. His defensive game is still developing, but he has shown a willingness to backcheck and play responsibly in his own end, particularly when matched against tougher lines in the KHL.
